Batik Workshop

The International Students Club and International Centre recently organized a 'Batik' Workshop for our local and international students. It was held at My 'Batik' Kuala Lumpur on 12th May 2018.

The participants were mostly newcomers and have not experienced any college events or trips. This workshop is a good way for students to experience and participate in college activities while making new friends along the way. My Batik were wonderful hosts and welcomed us with a big personalized signboard.

Art and culture is important to a country’s identity as it portrays the people and history of the country in a palpable form. Having the students learn and embrace the 'batik' making process instills a sense of pride and harmony in discovering Malaysia.

"It was a great experience painting and learning about the art. This is something that I have never experienced before."

Education does not limit a person to books and lectures. It extends to first-hand experiences and appreciation.
